Atoma Diamond Plates

Atoma Plates have a matrix of diamonds laid out precisely on a 1mm steel plate mounted to a 10mm (~3/8") thick piece of flattened aluminum. The unique arrangement of diamonds on the plate creates an even, fast cutting surface with channels for waste material, allowing the stone to cut quickly without clogging.

This product contains both the aluminum plate and pre-mounted steel abrasive sheet.

We currently carry two grits: coarse (roughly #160) and medium (#400). The former is appropriate for lapping sharpening stones and correcting broken edges, while the latter could be used to begin an aggressive sharpening session or to lap finishing stones.
